Art Director

We are seeking an Art Director to join our growing team. The Art Director will help to bring the Cheetay brand to life across all user touch points—from campaign design and social media, to evolving our overall visual guidelines. This role reports into the Creative Director.

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Maintain and advance Cheetay’s visual brand by enforcing brand guidelines across departments, and continuously explore new ways to enhance those guidelines
  2. Art a daily flow of digital stories to make them clickable, memorable and distinctly Cheetay
  3. Track and oversee creative design KPIs to ensure the high traffic and engagement performance on relevant content
  4. Support the Creative Director in the smooth running of the Creative Team by managing and mentoring junior team members and freelance designers; providing direction and taking responsibility for finished projects
  5. Ensure adherence to current processes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and proposing and creating processes and tools to support design operations
  6. Work in a detail-oriented fashion, delivering high-quality projects according to initial specs and requirements on time and on budget

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in fine art, graphic design, or similar discipline
  • 5+ years graphic design and art direction experience
Skills and Requirements:
  • Be immersed and knowledgeable in design culture, current and past
  • A strong balance of identity, typography, layout, and illustration design skills
  • An open, positive and collaborative communication style
  • A solutions-oriented mentality
  • Genuine ability to collaborate and contribute to a team effort but also to work independently to deliver on individual responsibilities
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
  • Deep knowledge of and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud Products
  • Strong desire to develop creatively and push Cheetay’s visual brand forward
  • UX/UI Experience is a plus
